IEEE UofT and Major League Hacking are back with MakeUofT to help your team make, design, and create hardware and software projects from start to finish in 24 hours. So come out the weekend of February 15-16th to compete with teams from across North America, learn from industry experts, and gain hands-on technical experience!

Eligibility
- Participants: Students of any professional learning institution are eligible to enter. Individuals must be the age of 18 or over.
- Teams of 3-4 are required to participate in MakeUofT. Individuals or teams of only 2 members are ineligible. Further information on team formation can be found in our information package.
Requirements
In order to submit your project, you must submit the following items through Devpost:
- Project Name
- Team Member Names
- A short description of your design and a demo video must be submitted as part of the submission package.
Pictures are always welcome, but we do NOT need to see your code for the submission. Please ensure that you select all of the prize categories that you wish to be considered for!

As much as we love connectivity and staying connected, we recognize the value of power autonomy. Show us your best hack that doesn’t use any form of wireless connection! Each member of the winning team will receive an Echo Dot.
Smartest "Unsmart" Hack
This prize is awarded to the team that presents the smartest hack that doesn't involve machine learning or any advanced learning frameworks to achieve its purpose. Each winning member will get a Fire TV Stick.
Best IoT Hack using a Qualcomm Device
The winning team will get one (1) Oculus Quest for the team (which features the Qualcomm Snapdragon!) plus 4 more DragonBoard 410C boards.

Huawei Ascend Innovation Award
Use Huawei’s AI Development Board ‘Atlas 200 DK’, which is based on Huawei Ascend 310 AI processor, to build an innovative project with real-world applicability and aligns with Huawei's overall vision of a "better connected world." Each winning team member will receive a Huawei Watch GT.
Best Smart Home Hack
Create a hack that improves homes with tech and matches the ecobee brand as a Smart Home provider

Awarded to the team which demonstrates the best use of the pynq platform, capitalizing on the ease of programmability and compute acceleration. The winning team will get PYNQ Z2 boards.

Hardware Technical Complexity
Multiple peripherals are used to provide the necessary functionality required. Interfacing circuits are created with no problems. -
Technical Integration
System is well-designed and all components with their respective interfaces are working and well-designed. No bugs are present and there is some handling of non-ideal components. -
Working Demo
Demonstration works flawlessly, is repeatable, and impressive. Demonstration is clear and presents the underlying design principles. -
Presentation
Presentation is convincing and summarizes learnings, troubles, and deep understanding of technology used. Presentation is well rehearsed, demonstrate contributions by individual members, and reflect how the team was able to work effectively together.
